We often ask each other how we are, but how often do we have the time to truly listen?

Talking. We do it all the time, yet there is still some resistance to talking about mental health. Although great strides have been made in recent years in opening up the topic of mental health, there still remains a sense of avoidance when it comes to talking about what may be impacting on our own mental wellbeing

Although Time to Talk day is about encouraging us to talk about our mental health, it’s not necessarily about counselling or having deep and personal conversations. The day is also a reminder to us all of the importance of making that human contact and checking in on each other. Taking a break from whatever we may be doing and catching up with a friend or a colleague.
